Camera Pouch

For those who love to take pictures during a hiking trip, keeping the camera protected from rain, snow and the weather elements is a concern.

While I am not a professional photographer, I do like to meddle with the shutter speed and the aperture size at times for the special effect. Therefore I chose the Canon A700 for its ability to choose shutter speed and aperture size while at the same time has enough auto functions for the unprofessional that I a. The only problem is I have with the Canon A700 with its myriad of functions is the compromise on the size.

So I went about looking for a camera pouch that can adequately protect the camera but at the same time is versatile enough to strap on my backpack strap as well as on my sling bag's sling (when I leave my backpack in the hostel for the day trips). Being able to strap the camera pouch on the outside of my bags allow me easy and fast access to capture the quick moment I want to remember.

To my excitement, I found the Tatonka Camera pouch to be exactly what I needed. It has straps to attach it vertically and horizonally. It is of a good size to carry my camera as well as its spare batteries and most of all, it has its own raincover to protect the camera from getting wet! All that I need in a pouch for S$23.
